Clinical Psychologist, Horseman, Bush Regenerator, Activist

As a clinical psychologist and trauma specialist, Wayne has helped many clients find relief from the aftermath of violence and catastrophe. During 40 years of living on their property, ‘Creek’s Bend’, Wayne and his wife Susan have farmed, worked horses, and developed a treatment for forest dieback. Wayne is a prominent voice in the campaign against gas field industrialisation.

Wayne holds the degrees of Bachelor of Arts with 1st Class Honours in Psychology, Master of Clinical Psychology, and Doctor of Psychology. He has researched brief, gentle therapies for phobia and posttraumatic stress disorder, published a journal paper on hypnotherapy for phobia, and presented workshops, seminars, and training programs on trauma, stress management, and hypnotherapy.

With his wife Susan, Wayne co-authored a journal paper on the treatment of a form of Australian native forest dieback, and has presented workshops and seminars on bush regeneration.
In a parallel career as an environmental activist, Wayne has made himself a nuisance to the gas mining industry.

Wayne lives with Susan, his wife of 43 years. They have two grown-up daughters and four grandchildren.

Now in his mid-60s, Wayne has a grandfather’s stake in the future. He wrote Shallow Thought, Deep Mind to help you successfully tackle the challenges in your life. This book is for everyone who dreams of a better future and wants to make their lives and the world better.
